Parents, please be sure to read and respond to Denise's (team parent info) letter that your wrestler brought home to you. It is linked (right of screen) for your convenience.

Also linked is the practice schedule for January. Please be sure your wrestler stays active on non-practice days. During the winter break, some practices will be at the High School. Please drop-off and pick-up your wrestler at the south-west entrance (by the football concession stand).

Welcome to CCMS Wrestling

Welcome to CCMS' 2010-2011 wrestling season. Coach Petersen and Coach Hitchcock look forward to working with your son. The CCMS wrestling program is a great place for kids to get introduced to the sport of wrestling, and/or continue with the sport in a fun but challenging environment.

The coaches place great emphasis on academics and will work with your son to bring up his grades if needed. Grades come first with the program and therefore many CCMS wrestlers see improvement in their grades as the season progresses.

In addition to better grades, benefits to wrestling include:

• Developing Strength, Balance, Flexibility, Endurance, and Confidence.
• Making life-long friends.
• Having fun.
• Being active during the winter.

Practices begin Monday, November 29th, 2010. A practice schedule is linked to this site as well as being sent home with your wrestler. Most practices will take place in the CCMS small gym right after school (on normal dismissal days) and end at 5:30 p.m. Please pick up your wrestler on time at the MS gym doorways on the south side of the building.

Awards Night

The coaches look forward to seeing all wrestlers, mat girls, and parents at the Awards Night on Thrusday, March 25 at 6pm at CCMS.

State

Congratulations to Cody Minnick (3rd place), Corey Jurzak (3rd place), and Casey Brown (5th place) at state. Also congrats to Joey Rivera with a win! Super job to Sarah M. for keeping the state stats. Great season to all!

Statebound!

Congratualtions and good luck to the state-bound Warriors: Joey Rivera, Cody Minnick, Corey Jurzak, Casey Brown, and Joe Floyd.

Congrats to all wrestlers this year for working hard and doing their best. The other coaches and I have been impressed with many wrestlers that have made some huge strides in confidence, ability, and attitude. Great job to all!

Practice Changes

Tuesday's (Feb. 15th) practice is from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Wednesday's (Feb. 16th) practice is cancelled.
